eddies Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 Looking at this forum there appears to be regular faults / failure of the operation of the AG4 aut-trans fitted to Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra vehicles prior tp the change to the Tiptronic Boxes some time after year 2000. I have even found references to similar problems on the MB Vito 280 - which I am told shares the v6-2.8 litre and same AG4 tranny as the Sharan.HAVE THERE BEEN ANY RECALLS / TSB PUT OUT ON THIS BOX / Transmission Control Unit / Service Reset requirements?Mine has harsh shifting into 2nd and sometimes appears to be slipping. Oil has been changed (using official VW fluid) and the level reset with VAG.COM Quote
